Concord's favorite parks

Concord boasts more than 7,200 acres of city conservation land. There are more than 323 acres over 19 parks, 80 miles of hiking trails, four community centers, a municipal golf course and an ice arena—all within city limits! Let’s take a tour of some of Concord’s favorite parks.

Let's start with the mighty White Park. This gem has been a local favorite for years, with its beautiful green fields perfect for a picnic or a game of frisbee. The park also has tennis courts, basketball courts, and even a playground and splash pad for the little ones. You can also take a stroll around the scenic pond or visit the impressive softball field that hosts games and tournaments throughout the year.

Another fantastic park to check out is Rollins. This hidden gem is tucked away in the west end of town and offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park features a swimming pool, playground, baseball and softball diamonds, lighted basketball and tennis court, and a beautiful gazebo perfect for a romantic picnic or a relaxing afternoon. Rollins Park is also home of the Concord Arts Market.

Keach Park is another great option for sports enthusiasts in Concord. This park features a large grassy field that is perfect for soccer or football games, and is conveniently located next to the city-wide community center. While you’re there, make sure you take a look at the beautiful mural designed by New Hampshire artist, Jozimar Matimano. The area also features a sculpture by Chris Plaisted as part of the city’s outdoor sculpture exhibit.

Next up, we have the Carter Hill Orchard. This isn't exactly a park, but it's a must-visit spot for anyone who loves nature and delicious apples! This orchard is family-owned and operated, and you can pick your own apples during the fall season. They also have a country store where you can stock up on fresh produce and homemade baked goods.

For those who love to bike, run, or walk, the Merrimack River Greenway Trail is a fantastic option. This scenic trail offers stunning views of the Merrimack River, and is wheelchair accessible, making it a great option for everyone.

If you're a golf enthusiast, then Beaver Meadow Golf Course is the park for you. This beautiful course is located in the heart of Concord and offers a challenging 18-hole layout. The course is open to the public and offers lessons for beginners, as well as a pro shop where you can purchase equipment and accessories.
