Concord: Where it all Vegan
Looking for vegan food in Concord? You’re in luck, you’ve got options. Trust me when I say you don’t need to be a full-fledged vegan to enjoy the amazing tastes of Concord, NH, and beyond!
More good news: Col’s Kitchen is now open at 55 South Main Street - as a new Vegetarian/Vegan Restaurant!
Here are some helpful tips on dining vegan downtown, whether you’re a vegan yourself or you’re just looking to try something new!

While not technically a vegan restaurant, Hermanos has a LOT of options for vegans and vegetarians, including vegan cheese and sour cream, as well as plant-based protein options! This is a great spot to take a group of people when only one or some of you are vegan – everyone can comfortably order from a knowledgeable staff without worry. This is a “safe space” for my family when they dine out in Concord, as my husband and I are vegans, but my father and brother are decidedly… not. Everyone leaves here very happy, and usually with plenty of leftovers.

For lunch at the office or dinner, Dos Amigos (or “Dos”, if you’re in the know) is too easy! Burritos, quesadillas, and more are all offered with plant-based protein and vegan cheese options. Burrito lovers will want to stop by on Burrito Monday, but regardless of when you stop by don’t forget to grab a vegan cookie bar! Too good.

There are a few traditional options here for vegan folks, and some non-vegan entrees can be customized into vegan fare. They’re good with questions and every time we’ve gone it’s been good. Hint: mean what you say when you request how spicy you want your food… and maybe dial it down a little even if you’re sensitive. There’s a few tables to dine al fresco also, very cute spot for a date night or smaller groups.

A lot of Indian food is meat and dairy free anyways, but at House of India they allow you to request almost any entrée dairy-free and they’re great about answering questions! If you’re new to Indian food, try the veggie Biryani and go from there. I find myself craving this spot when it’s been too long between visits. Portions are generous and we’re lucky to have them here in Concord!
