Soak in outdoor music
Concord is unlike most capital cities, because of its incredible natural beauty. It features pristine forests, beautiful parks, and is close by the Merrimack River. According to a 2023 study by Nearmap, trees cover 49.2% of Concord’s residential area, making the city the leafiest capital city in the Northeast and eighth leafiest capital in the U.S. overall. With a city this beautiful, and temperate summers (with an average temperature of 71 in July), you should spend as much time outdoors as possible. After a day of sightseeing and a delicious dinner, there’s something wonderful about sitting down to a relaxing concert outside. All of these outdoor music performances are free and open to the public.
