Take a sculpture walk in Concord, NH

Fire Tree by Bruce Hathaway.

Concord, NH is a hub for the arts, where audiences travel from near and far to visit the city’s three performing art theaters (Chubb Theatre, BNH Stage, and Concord City Auditorium). Live music can be enjoyed in parks, on restaurant patios, and in the state’s largest indoor theater (get info on some upcoming performances from NH Music Collective). Visitors travel to see unique screenings at Red River Theatres—Concord’s independent cinema. Art lovers visit the city’s galleries (Pillar Gallery + Projects, Outer Space, Go Native Gallery, and League of NH Craftsmen) and shop the Concord Arts Market. But the city itself serves as a rotating gallery of outdoor art!

Art on Main

Art on Main is an outdoor sculpture exhibit, presented annually by the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and City of Concord. Beautiful works are on display year-round in downtown Concord and beyond. These rugged artworks brave New England’s four seasons, facing snow, ice, and summer heat. But their beauty evolves with the changing weather. Cotyledon by David Boyajian reflects the autumn’s bright foliage; Fire Tree by Bruce Hathaway emerges from a flowering garden in the summer; and the details of Earth Arch #2 by Joe Chirchirillo pop out with a dusting of fresh snow.
