Summer and fall mean the return of outdoor live music in Concord. Here’s a round up of some of the opportunities to get outside and listen to some tunes this summer!

Capitol Center for the Arts Concerts

Looking for a relaxing Sunday afternoon activity? The Capitol Center for the Arts is hosting a series of concerts at Fletcher-Murphy Park, 28 Fayette Street in Concord, it kicked off on Sunday, June 6 with Joe Sabourin and running through mid-September. The series features a variety of performers and music styles. Visit the Capitol Center website for more information and tickets. 

Concord Parks & Rec Department Concerts

Concord Parks & Rec is hosting a series of free Tuesday and Thursday night concerts in June, July, and August. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Nevers Band plays on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. at various locations around the city, including the State House Lawn, Keach Park, the Riverfront Park behind the Everett Arena, and Rolfe Park. The first concert is June 22 at the Riverfront Park at 7 p.m. They will also play the city’s annual 4th of July Celebration. Nevers’ Band Concerts are an exciting & fun experience for the whole family! Their diverse repertoire includes popular numbers, patriotic music, classic orchestral transcriptions, music from motion pictures & more!

Thursday night concerts are held in Eagle Square beginning at 7 p.m. and feature a variety of musical acts including local favorite Club Soda, Rebel Collective, NH Fiddle Ensemble, and others. The first concert on June 24 at 7 p.m. features Freese Brothers Big Band.

Concord Public Library – Live Music with the Library

Concord Public Library’s Live Music with the Library concert series returns this summer. These concerts are also free to attend. 

The series kicks off on June 16 at 6:30 p.m. in Keach Park with local favorite Club Soda playing the best of the top 40 hits from the 50s to today (rain date is June 23). The Rory Scott Band will play in Eagle Square at 6 p.m. on July 21 (rain date July 28). They are a “hard hitting country band with a rock flair.” Finally, Nick’s Other Band will play the Library Lawn off of Prince Street on August 18 at 6 p.m. (rain date August 25). This is a high energy band playing classic rock and more.

Concord Arts Market

For more than 10 years, the Concord Arts Market has provided an open-air venue for artists around the region to display and sell their work. This year, the monthly market will be held in Rollins Park, allowing the event to grow with more artists, artisans and makers, as well as the addition of entertainment and food. More than 60 vendors have signed on to participate in the market in 2021.

The first Concord Arts Market will be held on June 19 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Other dates in Rollins Park include July 19, September 18, and October 16. From August 19-21, the Concord Arts Market will be part of the annual Concord Market Days Festival and will be located on Main and Pleasant streets from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Intown Concord’s Market Days Festival

Intown Concord’s 47th annual Market Days Festival is returning to downtown Concord, NH on August 19, 20, and 21. This free, three-day street festival is held right on Main Street and features shopping, food trucks, family-friendly activities, local artisans, and live entertainment each day from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Visit Intown Concord’s Market Days entertainment page for more information as the event gets closer. 

Capital Arts Fest

Capital Arts Fest takes place in downtown Concord on September 24-26. This annual free event, put on by the League of NH Craftsmen, features fine craft, food, and also live entertainment. Click here for more details as the event nears.
