Hello to the Hotel Concord

The Capital Commons building, on Main Street, is about to offer Concord a new lodging option. A new boutique hotel fills the 4th and 6th floors of the building with 38 rooms.

Every room is different from each other and the front side overlooks Main Street, the Capitol Building and the city skyline from above. On the river side, the Merrimack River is the star.

All of the 38 rooms are equipped with coffee service and Amazon’s Alexa, TV, Wi-Fi and of course room service.  Some of the rooms will also be interconnected to host families, friend groups or work teams. Parking is also included but in the heart of downtown Concord, you can easily walk to most places.

The booking rates will depend on time and demand but the prices will start at $189 per night.

The Hotel also has two conference rooms: The “New Hampshire Room” has capacity for 140 people, and the “Concord Room” can host up to 60 people. Both are equipped with screens and projectors, and the Hotel can provide the catering service, managed by O’ Steaks and Seafood, the restaurant on the lower level.

O’s will also be hosting a continental breakfast, lunch and dinner… and a bar. From 5 to 9 p.m., a bartender will be in the hotel lobby bar serving drinks not only to guests but to the public.

In the fitness center the treadmills and bikes all have a TV and a big screen is set on one of the walls.

The construction started in 2017 and according to the Hotel’s architect, Anthony Mento, the main idea was to “take an underutilized building and give it a new use” taking advantage of the fact that its located on Main Street, in the shopping district and it shares the space with a restaurant, O’s, and an independent movie theatre, Red River.

The Capitol Center for the Arts is within walking distance and the future Concord Theatre will be across the street.

In a renewed downtown, the Hotel Concord fills a need.
